Scott J. Ratner, M.D. has been in the practice of medicine for 31 years, the last 25 in Cardiology. He has been certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Diseases and the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as by the Subspecialty Boards of Critical Care Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Ratner is currently on the staff of St. Francis Hospital's Heart Center, North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset, North Shore University - Franklin Hospital Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center.

Trained at Columbia-Presyterian Medical Center in New York, Dr. Ratner remained on the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine for several years while working in New York City. He is the author of several dozen articles in prestigious medical journals and was a professional medical writer. In addition, he has held numerous hospital and faculty positions during his career.
